San Diego County Operations Center – Conference Center

The Conference Center & Cafeteria Building is a 15,127 SF single story building with rooftop terrace, located at 5520 Overland Avenue, San Diego CA 92123. The Conference Center is part of the new County Operations Center, a 1.2 million SF complex of government offices, laboratories, warehouse/storage, central plant, Medical Examiner building, and two parking structures. Developed by Lowe Enterprises, the complex will be owned and operated by the County of San Diego.

The Conference Center provides a central meeting space and food service facility for the County’s Operations Center, and includes a large assembly room, commercial kitchen, interior and exterior dining areas, a roof deck, green roof, solar hot water system and solar panel arrays mounted on trellis systems. Compared to the surrounding buildings, the Conference Center is small, but is meant to be a beacon of the County’s commitment to sustainability.
