George L Stevens Center

The George L. Stevens Center is an award-winning multipurpose facility located within the Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in San Diego, California. Owned by the City of San Diego’s Park and Recreation Department, this facility serves senior citizens and caters to their social and recreational needs. Features such as bicycle storage and shower facilities, low flow plumbing fixtures, high performance glazing, daylighting, materials with recycled content and sourced within 500 miles all made possible its LEED Gold Certification, the first in San Diego.

Sun Harbor Marina became the first marina in the world to achieve LEED Certification. Mary Lou Lopreste, the marina’s former managing partner and life-long environmentalist was committed to following the rigorous LEED standards. With its curved lines and earth tones, this elegant 20,000 SF marina features light shelves that reflect sunlight through the upper windows, high performance glazing, energy efficient HVAC and daylight sensor controls, Waterless urinals, low-flow showerheads, and low VOC sealants.
